2026 Election

The 2026 municipal elections will take place on October 26, 2026.

Update your voter information

Check your information in advance by contacting directly the clerk's office at clerk@casselman.ca or 613-764-3139. The voting period will run from October 21 to October 26, 2026. You will receive a voter information letter early in October. You may vote online at any time from October 21 at 9:00 a.m. until October 26 at 8:00 p.m. A Voter Help Centre will be available at the Deguire Community Hall at the J.-R.-Brisson Complex, located at 758 Brébeuf Street at the following date and times:

  • Wednesday, October 21, 2026: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 22, 2026: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, October 23, 2026: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 24, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 25, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Third Party Advertisers

Third party advertising refers to advertisements or other materials that support, promote or 
oppose a candidate, or support, promote or oppose a “yes” or “no” answer to a question on the
ballot. The meaning of “third party” in this context means a person or entity who is not a 
candidate. 

Third party advertising is separate from any candidate’s campaign, and must be done
independently from a candidate. Any advertisements or materials that are made and distributed 
by a candidate, or under a candidate’s direction, are part of the candidate’s campaign.

Third party advertising is a way for those outside of the candidate’s campaign to express support 
of or opposition to candidates (or a “yes” or “no” answer to a question on the ballot) and to try to
persuade voters to vote a certain way. 

A third party advertisement is an advertisement in any broadcast, print, electronic or other 
medium that promotes, supports or opposes a candidate, or a “yes” or “no” answer to a question
on the ballot. Advertisement includes traditional ads as well as materials such as brochures or 
signs.

School Support Designation

When reviewing your voter information through Elections Ontario’s Register of Electors, if you notice that your school support designation is incorrect, please visit the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) website to make the change. Once the change has been confirmed, please forward the confirmation to the Clerk at clerk@casselman.ca and include your contact information.
