Major roadwork on Paul-Émile Levesque Bridge

Starting Feb 17th

The United Counties of Prescott and Russell are preparing to undertake major work on the Paul-Émile Levesque Bridge in Casselman.

The UCPR wish to inform residents and road users of an upcoming rehabilitation project on the Paul-Émile Lévesque Bridge, located in the Municipality of Casselman.

This major infrastructure project includes the following improvements:

☑️ Complete reconstruction of the bridge deck;

☑️ Widening of the roadway to improve traffic flow and safety;

☑️ Construction of an expanded pedestrian sidewalk;

☑️ Installation of new steel guardrails; and

☑️ Addition of street lighting.

📆 The construction is expected to start on February 17, 2026.

📅 The project completion is planned for the end of 2026.

👉 Traffic and Pedestrian Access:

The bridge will remain open to traffic for the duration of the project; however, some restrictions will be in place, including reduced lane widths. There will also be modified pedestrian access, but this access will have to be temporarily closed during certain phases of the project. Project updates will be provided as work progresses and will be available on Municipal511: https://www.municipal511.ca/?lat=45.31699709901335....

📌 We recognize that a construction project of this scope may impact local residents, businesses, and commuters. The UCPR appreciate the public’s cooperation and patience throughout the duration of this project. Every effort will be made to complete the work on schedule, while minimizing disruptions to the community.
